Arg, photography advice...

Just can't seem to get it right. The colors are so bright, this should really be a good photo, but I'm screwing it up...any advice on ISO settings or anything else? I'm thinking at the very least, taking it outside would have improved it. I didn't have the flash on, but the dining room light overhead is just too much. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, it's burgers, sweet potato fries, and corn...obviously. :)
