SA Stock Show and Rodeo

Colin and I headed out Monday to join some friends at the Stock Show and Rodeo. Michael was feeling a bit under-the-weather from allergies, so he spent the morning at home. :(

Before we left, Colin announced, "I need my cowboy hat!" and boy am I glad we got it - it was super-sunny all day long and he definitely needed something to shade his eyes (plus it made for some cute pictures!).
Speaking of sunny, this was before I had my camera setting fully adjusted for it, luckily you can still see his big grin at his joy of being around all these animals! When we first got there, he kept stopping to talk about people's boots and the different machinery around us. I was impressed at his ability to differentiate things he's mostly just seen in pictures (backhoe, trackhoe, front-end loader, etc).
Here he is trying to coax Adrianna into going faster. He kept saying "go fast" and gesturing with his hand how she should zoom along. I don't think her problem was lack of motivation, more like being several months younger than he is!
He could not be happier than to be standing in the bucket of a loader. He told me he "needs" one of these (along with a tractor and a particular trailer he also saw there)!
This would have been a cute picture, but now it's just kind of funny - just as I was getting ready to click it, he decided the poor goat needed a hug!
Colin loved looking at all the animals on display at the stock show. I think he'd have gladly stayed all day looking at them!
Here are Lauren and Lily in the horse barn.
Colin and Lily decided to mimic each other for a bit - they're sillier every day, I think.
Then Colin just decide to continue being goofy on his own. I honestly have no idea what's happening here...
Or here.
This one I understand. Thanks James, for being silly with him! What a great day we had with our friends! We're so lucky to always find fun people to hang out with wherever we are!
