A Healthy Dose of Weird

Colin has a lot of quirks about him that he gets from both of us. Amongst them are a tendency to separate out parts of food before eating them (like the components of trail mix), his uncanny ear for music, his strange behavior for calming himself down, apparently with him since birth, which some of our friends finally witnessed Friday (stops, closes his eyes, and breathes deeply before making a fuss over something - not always, mind you, he is just a toddler, but sometimes...). These things all just endear him more to us, but unfortunately are difficult to capture for posterity on camera. Others, we occasionally are able to get.

Like the other night, when he took one bite out of each cookie of his bedtime snack. He's an only child; we're not sure who he's competing with. The dog? Honey, he doesn't care if you licked the whole thing first, he'll eat it anyway.
