There comes a time in every boy's life...

...when he feels the irresistible urge to empty a toilet paper roll.

For Colin, it came this morning.

Supper. Wow.

So not only is baby food back on the menu as of tonight, it's back on in force. Here's what he ate for supper:

And a fig newton.
And some toast and crunchies.
I now know what it's like to feed a newly hatched dragon.

Pump It Up!

We went to Pump It Up for one of our friend's birthdays and for her daddy's return from deployment (just a couple hours before!). All of us had a great time. Colin liked watching the big kids play on all the inflatables, but then he got in on the action too! :)

We went down the big slide with Colin a couple times and he seemed to enjoy it...hard to get a good picture though because we go too fast!
They had some stuff there for smaller kids, which we appreciated! Colin loves pushing things around right now, but hasn't really tried walking on his own yet. Once he does, we're really in trouble.
I may have to track one of these down...he loved climbing it (and considered jumping off the top when he got there) and the kids who were a little bigger liked running up it like a ramp and jumping off.

Ryleigh was big enough for all the inflatables and had a great time all night! She even went down the big slide with me my first time! LOL!
My boys!
And all the kids...well, at least all of them I could fit in frame!

Day off with Daddy

Michael had Monday off, so we took him to the park with us. Colin was so happy to have his daddy to play with outside!

Ten Month Pics

Here are some of my favorites from Colin's 10 month pictures:

Mitosis

We are pretty sure Colin is getting ready to perform mitosis and split into two. He has been eating like a horse lately! And not baby food either; he is insisting on eating what we are having. Here's a picture of him having roasted red peppers and Italian sausage! Over the past few days, here are some of the things he's had:

Mexican and lots of it (see post below as well as having it at our house the day before)
Spicy Italian
Cheese enchilada and salsa (Friday when I couldn't get him to eat anything else for lunch)
Ham, onion, and green pepper breakfast casserole
Blueberry muffins
Pancakes
Corned beef hash
Beef stroganoff
Shepherd's pie
Tuna salad

And baby food for Michael...as long as you call it soup and give him crackers to go with it.
Oatmeal cookies and fig newtons

Riverwalk

We met my uncle Jack and his wife Monica for dinner down at the Riverwalk. They were here for a couple days for a medical conference. Colin loved watching the water and people and was really fascinated by Jack! He kept making silly faces and would look over to see Jack's reaction. Later he would take a drink of his water, look over and Jack and grin, and then take another big gulp! Goofy kid!

Colin tried about every kind of food we had - little piggy! He ate: taco meat, spicy queso, cheese enchilada, carne asada, refried beans, and rice! Oh, and a lemon slice!

By the end of the night, Colin was reaching for Jack and we're pretty sure would have driven back to Arkansas with him!

Radio Flyer

So my parents got Colin a Radio Flyer for Texas (unlike the Radio Flyer Michael's parents got him for Arkansas) for Christmas, :) but he's had so much fun using the box as a jungle gym that we have been reluctant to actually put it together. Not to mention that the wind has made family walks less pleasant than normal. We finally broke down Saturday afternoon and assembled it. Colin loved helping!

He and Percy took a quick cruise around the house before we tried it around the block. They were both great...inside.Once we got outside, Colin decided it would be way more fun to use his arms to balance on the rails and "surfboard" in his wagon. After about the hundredth stop to tell him to SIT, he toppled out headfirst doing a front flip onto the sidewalk! My heart dropped. He cried for a minute and had a bump and bruise for a couple hours, but by Saturday evening you couldn't even tell. I thought his whole head was going to be black. I cannot believe how quickly he heals!
