Backyard Fun

It was so gorgeous out last night we had to spend some time playing in the backyard before bath and bedtime. Couldn't get any pictures where you can actually tell he is giggling, but trust me, he was!
My two favorite boys in the whole world!Colin's latest fun thing to do with the chalk is to make a big pile of it in the grass just off the patio. :) Here he is throwing another piece in! His aim is getting ever more impressive.
Two at a time. Wow. So impressive.
I drew this rainbow the day before and he actually clapped for it! LOL! Funny boy!
And picking (deadheading) flowers for me. He'll be a gardener by the end of the summer yet.

Easter Party Prep

So we headed over the Leah's house yesterday afternoon to prep goodie bags and cupcakes for the squadron Easter party today at Pump It Up. I have to say, these are some pretty awesome goodie bags: bubbles, popcorn, playdough, stickers, flower seeds, candy, a plastic egg, and more...

Then, while the big kids were still occupied upstairs, we got started icing cupcakes.
It only lasted so long before they wanted to help though!
I still cannot say how happy I am that all three babies are sitting up. Exciting for their families, I know, but also exciting for me because I am far less afraid now that my kid will tackle and squish the poor girlies!

Texas Bluebonnets!

It was so pretty this morning I decided to take Colin out for a short photo shoot in his outfit his nana made him. Isn't he darling!

Colin LOVES the Easter Bunny...

...from a safe distance! He was so cute today when we took him to see the Easter bunny! From the moment he saw him he started pointing and laughing and waving. He thought it was the height of funny when the Easter bunny would wave back. There were no other kids there, so while we waited for Courtney and Lauren, Colin lived it up!
Once he got a little accustomed, we walked right up to him and Colin talked to him and was giving him high fives! So cute!
Until....
Not a safe distance.
Lily was the only perfect bunny picture we got!
Poor Ryleigh was terrified again this year. :(
She liked him from a distance and hopped all around the mall. She just didn't want to be close to the funny bunny!
Afterward we lunched at Cheesecake Factory. Yum! The kids are all such hams!
Head butts for love...
I adore that baby boy!

Strawberry Festival

Today after church we drove down to Poteet for their annual Strawberry Festival. When we first pulled in, I saw one of the unique things I will miss about here: their mounted traffic monitors. :)
Darling Natalie and Brenna at lunch - one of our first orders of business upon our arrival.
Colin shared the wonderful barbeque Michael and I chose for lunch! It was SO good - another of the few things I'll miss about San Antonio! He also later totally pigged out on my strawberry shortcake!
Brenna was so excited about the rides. The carousel was the first thing she wanted to ride!
Wow! Two pictures of just the four of us in just over a week! Amazing!
My two favorite boys.

We just discovered that Lily has two teeth starting to poke through! She's going to be having steak for the first time with Colin I guess!
We had so much fun and when we got home, we decided to continue the strawberry-themed day with a dinner of beef roulade and some chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert! :) Yummy!
Also somehow the only pictures of strawberries I took all day! LOL!

Evening Out

We spent the evening at Col. and Rachel Ackerman's house. They are moving in a couple weeks and we hadn't seen them in a while. They made some wonderful prime rib (I got her rub recipe!) and a ton of other food. Colin pigged out mostly on new potatoes and watermelon. Here he's eating a cookie Jen gave him while swinging and watching the bigger kids play.
Matty pushing Colin (still with cookie!).
When the girls saw I had the camera, they all had to have their pictures taken too. :) Colin never runs out of people willing to push him on the swings!
And Michael and Colin sitting by the fire. Colin was fascinated...we're going to have to keep an eye on that kiddo! He either wanted to touch the fire or stick rocks up his nose for quite a while. Then the big kids distracted him again! Thank goodness!

Randomness

Some random pictures from the last couple days. We've had an up-and-down week with trying to detox from grandparents, but have had fun when Colin and I aren't busy being immensely frustrated with one another (we've spent a great deal of time with him wrapped around my leg)! :)

So, the pictures...
This is just a picture to go along with a quote Michael said had to make the blog.

Me: "If you hit the dog with the maraca, I'm spanking you!"
Colin: *grins* and instead gives Percy a big hug
We got the camera in time to catch him "petting" Percival with the maraca.
I am so glad all three babies can now sit up to play together! Aren't they too sweet? Colin seems less interested in attacking the girls now that they are more on his level too! Yay!

Monday we went to this great kids' place called Artworks. They had all kinds of stations set up for the kids to do art projects. Here Brenna and Ana are coloring a plate that is set up on a turn table. They also had a centrifuge you could put paint into and spin onto a plate, a station to write with glue and sprinkle with sawdust, tissue paper and paintable glue to make cool designs and several other cool activities. The kids really seemed to have a good time!
And my silly boys watching the new puppy our backdoor neighbors just got!
