Independence Day

So Colin has decided he is done with "baby food" - at least the past couple days. He only wants to eat things he has to chew and can feed himself. Nothing pureed. Nothing on a spoon. I could not get him to eat his (formerly) favorite breakfast foods, so we made scrambled eggs. Which ended up all over the kitchen, but he was happy.

Yesterday all he wanted was Puffs cereal and yogurt melts. At least he is still drinking his formula.

Busy Body...

Getting into the pots and pans this morning.
And working on using a bowl for his cereal...going to take a while I think.

Class Party

After church this morning, our S.S. class had our Christmas party. Here are a few pictures:After his abandonment in the nursery this morning, Colin was unsure about letting us out of his sight.
We had a white elephant exchange. Colin liked what we ended up with; a Viagra soap dispenser - originally from the urologist in the group - and a bottle of Tide!
Refusing to nap, despite being given his pacifier...

Christmas Cookie Decorating!

So we had our friends over yesterday afternoon to kick off the Christmas season. We baked cookies and decorated them. Everyone got to take some home and we took some of ours to our Sunday School party today! Here is Colin in his Peanuts Christmas shirt. He was being so goofy when I was trying to get his picture, so here is him standing behind the sofa looking at the ceiling fan. *shrug*

James and LilyBen and NatalieColin decided he really liked banana bread and ate a whole bunch of it. It's also super fun to squish between his fingers!Brenna can come over any time she wants now! She volunteered to wash the cookie cutters when we were done! My boys in their Peanuts shirts.Colin really likes ribbons more than presents!Ryleigh opening her new crayons. So the girls decided to watch a movie afterwards. Colin stood in front of the tv and thought he was the one entertaining them. Ham.

Pictures with Santa...NOT a fiasco!

Colin has been a bit clingy lately, so I was sure pictures with Santa were going to be a total fiasco. Turns out he really enjoyed it! The people there took six pictures that I got to choose from and the one below is one Courtney snapped. He was jabbering away at the guy - who was a great Santa with a real beard and everything! Courtney did manage to get one where he was being goofy and stuck his lip out, but otherwise it was all smiles. He even kept jumping up and down and trying to talk to Santa while the other girls got their pictures done.

Speaking of which.......Ryleigh didn't like Santa any better this year. Here is a picture of her worrying about Colin sitting on Santa's lap:

And hiding from him:
And in case you've missed them, here's a recap from last year! Same picture, just a little bigger!

On the plus side, the little girls did great!

Happy Birthday to Me!

So yesterday Michael took the day off and watched Colin so I could do whatever I wanted. Actually it was nice to spend time with them, but take a break anytime I felt like it for a whole day and not feel too guilty! Here we are at lunch with Colin trying to yank Michael's plate off the table instead of mine. *sigh* The girls took me to lunch today at Luciano's. Here's my birthday cake - yum!

Ryleigh loves pizza! She kept trying to get the poor waitress to bring her more things, yelling "water" at her! Silly Roo!

Colin wore his silly stocking cap to lunch. I'm not sure why he likes his hats so much, but it attracts attention since most kids throw them off. My kid just throws his socks. I'm not sure how many times they went overboard in the stroller today!

Here we all are except Courtney, who was taking the picture! Be very kind if you ever see a group of moms like this in the mall...too many babies to keep track of even though it's technically almost 1 to 1!

Playing at the Park

Yesterday morning we went to the park with Brenna and Natalie after a trip to the base craft fair. The playground equipment is divided up by age and Colin's favorite part was the suspension bridge in the under 3 area. He kept bouncing it and then grinning at me. He would crawl from one end to the other and then try to sit up, but the angle was too steep for that and he'd topple forward. This was my favorite part too since it was one of the few things that didn't have rocks on it for him to eat.

Shawn and Natalie
And Brenna, in jail. She called to me, "Ashley, Ashley, I'm in jail" and as I turned around to look at her she said, "it wasn't me!" Silly girl!

Decorating with Courtney

We went over to Courtney's Tuesday to help her decorate for Christmas. Here Colin is stealing Ryleigh's juice - naughty, but I'm still sure he's getting presents!
He really liked her singing snowman and penguins and danced along with them.
Hmmm...
This is his first time on a push toy. He's decided my car keys should start it.
And, just for fun: a rug-burned-knees picture. I swear I try to keep pants on him most of the time so this doesn't happen!
